By adding lots of small holes to the design, the sound of the cymbals is significantly reduced. This process also removes a substantial amount of mass, resulting in the dramatic drop in volume.
UFO cymbals are ideal as practice cymbals, a supplement to practice pads, or even in combination with electronic drums.
