No Nuts Cymbal Sleeves is a smart product for your cymbal stands that replaces your old cymbal holders. The only thing you need apart from your No Nuts and your cymbals is one single piece of felt for each cymbal stand (we recommend Cympad Optimezers).
When using No Nuts, it becomes quite easy to change your cymbals. Your cymbals are also completely free to move around which in some cases can improve their tone. Last but not least, you ensure that your cymbals are protected from the metal on your cymbal stands.
In order to mount your No Nuts, you must first remove the old wing nut, felt, discs, rubber pieces/plastic holders - anything that is placed at the end of your cymbal stand.
When this is done, you simply screw your No Nut onto the cymbal stand's thread until it sits correctly.
No nuts have no thread. Instead they adapt to your cymbal stands. This means that you do not have to worry about the size of your cymbal stands.
When your No Nuts are mounted on your stand, all you need is a piece of felt or a Cympad Optimizer on top of the No Nuts. This is not a must but we recommend it in order to give your cymbal the best possibilities for smooth movement. When you have put on your felt or your Cympad Optimizers, you are ready to mount your cymbal.
This is very easy. All you have to do is place your cymbal on top of your stand (onto your No Nut) and you are good to go.
This means that you have no felt, disc, or nuts on top of your cymbal. You are simply ready to play.
Note: No Nuts are not well suited for China cymbals as these specific cymbals often need to be fastened.
Since No Nuts Cymbal Sleeves are made from a durable type of plastic, unlike other similar products, you can feel quite confident that these will survive your hardware case during transport.
Take a look at the images - one of them shows how flexible the product actually is, allowing it to survive when tightly packed - side by side - alongside other stands in your hardware bag.
