The Grombal sits in the hole of your cymbal and protects the cymbal from keyholes with its soft material. This prolongs the life of your cymbal and you can avoid that some warranties will be voided because of misuse.
If you are unlucky and already have a keyhole in your cymbal, The Grombal is still the solution for you. The Grombal prevents the keyhole from growing bigger than it already is because the cymbal stand no longer can wear the keyhole further down.
The Grombal also gives your cymbal a sustained tone and more room for movement.
