CymbalWorks Collectables 14" Vintage Hihat

The hi-hats from the Collectables series are really cool, especially if you’re into crisp, dark, and rounded hi-hat cymbals that perform very dynamically. This 14” example is no exception!

This model features a fairly light top (786 grams) and a reasonably firm bottom (1200 grams). The result is a hi-hat with excellent articulation that still manages to give you plenty of dynamics and nuances in the range between closed and open states.

Genre-wise, this hi-hat is very versatile, as long as you’re into the dark, slightly mid-toned, and crisp sound. There isn’t much treble or “bell-like” sound—it’s a much softer feel we’re dealing with here.
