Here’s a really lovely 18” crash from CymbalWorks’ Casablanca series.
The cymbal has a relatively controlled sound and decay, making it very easy to manage.
Since the cymbal is quite soft, it’s also easy to play quietly on it, meaning its dynamic range is highly useful at the lower end of the “control scale.” However, this doesn’t mean you can’t also play it powerfully, giving you a wide and highly useful overall dynamic range.
The cymbal spreads well throughout the space when you crash it and has a deep, mature tone and tonality.
A very versatile crash that can be used for all music genres.
