With this hihat we are moving into "vintage country" - but without the cymbals being actually old. Because here we have a very good-sounding - and good-playing - hi-hat from Anatolian's JC series.
The individuall cymbals of this hi-hat weighs each 890 / 1012 grams accordingly - so we are dealing with relatively thin cymbals. And that makes this hi-hat very easy to play - not least when playing at low volumes, where you get a great dynamic range.
Sonically, the hihat is dark, deep and crisp - simply put!
The cymbals on this Brown Sugar hihat are un-lathed on the top - albeit with a lathed bell - and vice versa on the underside which is lathed - with the exception of the underside of the bell which is un-lathed (raw).
A fantastic hi-hat for jazz, soul, funk ... any situation where the sound of an old hi-hat is called for. Throw this hat on the stand - and it goes... Brown Sugar baby!
