Anatolian's JC Series 14" Brown Sugar hi-hat is characterized by its raw surface, except for the lathed bell. If we flip the cymbal, we find a raw bell and a lathed surface - essentially the opposite of the top side. This applies to both cymbals. This means you get a bit of both worlds in terms of sound - some dark tones from the raw surface and some openness from the fully lathed (bottom) side.
The hi-hat's tonality is relatively high, and the sound is pleasant and warm. The hi-hat feels quick and easy to control, providing a sense of mastery.
The stick response is quite tight, further enhancing the feeling of control.
This is a truly versatile hi-hat that will undoubtedly perform well in genres like funk, soul, or even pop music.
