About the Two Way Beater
When you buy a Two Way Beater from Switch Kick, you get two things:
- The fixed adapter shaft (used to mount the different beater heads)
- A two-sided beater head with felt on one side and plastic on the other
You can therefore consider the Two Way Beater as a kind of "starter kit".
To switch between the two sides of the Two Way Beater, you simply grab the head - and turn it around. There is no need to loosen a screw!

What is Switch Kick?
Switch Kick is a different type of bass drum beater. On the Switch Kick system, you can change the beater head itself in a few seconds, which also opens up the possibility of adapting your bass drum sound to the individual track you play - just like you do with your drumsticks, rods and whiskers.
The system is made up of two parts:
- The fixed adapter shaft
- A beater head - according to your own wishes
There are a number of different beater heads for the system - all with the aim of giving you different tonal possibilities.
How to change the beater in less than 5 seconds
It is easy to change the beater with Switch Kick - so easy in fact, that it can be done in under 5 seconds!
How to remove the beater
- Grab the beater head
- Turn a quarter turn
- Pull the beater head up - and off
How to mount the beater
- Grab the beater head you want
- Push the beater down over the shaft
- Turn a quarter turn
