Nice to Know Before You Start

It is worth noting that you must exert caution when using a drill bit. You do not have the same feeling of how far down you have screwed the tension rod as when you use a regular drum key. Therefore, be careful, because it may go wrong if you use max power.

If you drive the tension rod down too quickly you risk destroying the drum head and in the worst case also your drum's lugs. Therefore, be careful and only use screwdrivers that have a nice speed control.
